I know! Luke was always there for her - a way better father-figure than Christopher ever was. I thought it was sweet.

Luke crying at Rory's graduation makes me want to jump his fictional bones. And also, best episode title EVER.

Words cannot express how much I despise Rory's graduation speech. Besides her flat delivery, I hate that, after a token mention of her school and classmates, it devolves into one big shout-out to her family. Based on that speech alone, I think Paris should have keyed Rory's new car.

Thanks to this episode, whenever I hear someone use the phrase 'no strings attached,' I think "Those are strings, Pinocchio."

I am gonna defend Rory and Lorelai going to Europe. It was a vacay they'd been saving for for years. And the way they did it, hostels and whatnot, probably didn't cost so much that the money would have made a huge dent in tuition at Yale.

But c'mon. Lorelai is a single mom who runs a hotel. I'm pretty sure Rory qualified for whatever student loan she could get.

Yeah, really, if you're always worried about money a trip to Europe is waaay superfluous. As a matter of fact, it's not at all fair that Rory is even able to plan trips to Europe AND go to Yale. I kind of don't like Rory.
