Gilmore Girls Season Three, Episode Two: Haunted Leg
Friday night dinner this week is horrible because Emily is still mad at Lorelai for walking out the week before and for not being able to make things work with Christopher. Lorelai and Emily go to Rory’s student government swearing-in ceremony at Chilton, and Emily says she wants to have lunch with Lorelai. Lorelai is suspicious, but she agrees to meet her at the diner the next day. She immediately regrets it when Emily starts telling her she spoke to Christopher and thinks he really wants to be with Lorelai.
A really awful girl named Francie is the senior class president and at the first meeting, she tries to get Paris to look into raising hemlines. Paris could not possibly care less about the issue. Francie pulls Rory into a bathroom and tells her she needs to make Paris listen to her or else she’ll make life miserable for Paris and Rory. Rory’s not happy about being manipulated, but she convinces Paris to consider the hemline thing.
Christopher shows up at the next Friday night dinner all unshaven and upset. Neither Gilmore Girl has been returning his calls, and Christopher accuses Lorelai of keeping Rory away from him. Rory comes into the room and says she’s pissed off at him for her own reasons. At Sookie’s wedding, Christopher promised Rory he wasn’t going to mess things up, and now he has so she doesn’t want to talk to him. Lorelai asks him if he’s still planning on marrying Sherry. He says he is, and Lorelai tells him it hurts too much to talk to him. After she says that, Emily tells Christopher he needs to leave.
Rory runs into Jess at the market and acts kind of bitchy. She finally says it’s because of Shane, the girl he’s been making out with all over town. Jess is a little pissed because a.) Rory kissed him and told him not to tell anyone, and then b.) she went away for the summer and didn’t try to contact him once and c.) she’s still with Dean anyway so what the hell is her problem? Rory doesn’t know how to respond in the face of such logical thinking.
Francie: Wise up, Goldilocks.
Rory: My hair is brown.
Also in this episode: Kirk asks Lorelai out on a date. Rory thinks it’s hilarious. So does Luke. Lorelai lets him down gently.

I too think its hilarious.
God I hate Christopher. How Lorelai didn’t kill him when he wanted to marry Sherry and still be with Lorelai I don’t know.
